About

About Uniquely Dominican

Uniquely Dominican is an online magazine and business directory created to highlight the skills, knowledge, traditions, food, businesses and more based in Dominica and also around the world through the diaspora.

We are looking to record history by interviewing people either by audio and/or video and adding them here. We are not here to provide you with up to date news on what is happening in Dominica. For that you have The Dominican.Net

Here is an example of some of the events we would love to know about (feel free to send in any video, audio or written details)

  • Dominican Galas
  • Dominican Festivals (music and/or writers)
  • Exhibitions, Expos and events being held in Dominica or around the world by a Dominican association
  • Landmark events
  • Interviews (audio and/or video) with well known Dominicans

Our goal is to capture heritage, history and tradition as well as highlight great Dominicans alive and passed. We want to share stories of the land, promote the creole language and ensure the children of the Diaspora who are not based in Dominica do not miss out on knowing their heritage.

If you would like to sponsor our work that is most welcome. You can send in a donation, become a sponsor and add your business content to the site
